We are a border morris side from the North Essex/ West Suffolk borders. We were founded in 1976 dancing Cotswold dances, but then in 1990 were attracted to the Border tradition as being rough and ready, lively, and good for the soles .. of the boots.
We dance traditional Welsh border dances with a sprinkling of stick dances from the Lichfield and other traditions. In the winter we dance Molly in keeping with our East Anglian location.
Our uniform tends to have plenty of scope of improvisation (as with our dancing) but is based around black tailcoats, black hats with pheasant feathers, bells, badges and boots.
We are always looking for new recruits, and in recent years have opened our doors to dancers and musicians of each and every gender.
